We invite everybody to another Visita de Angola with Mestre Cobra Mansa with classes of Capoeira Angola, including movement, musicality, conversation circles and rodas.

We are also excited to have among our guests this time the activist and community leader Joelson Ferreira, also known as Mestre Joelson, who is one of the founding members of the multi-ethnic community network known as Teia dos Povos, and one of the leaders of Brazil’s Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) in the Atlantic Forest region of Bahia. We will have the opportunity to learn more from him about these movements and the ancestry of quilombolas and indigenous peoples.

The purpose of our meetings is to increase our knowledge and values of Capoeira Angola, which does not come only from movements, but from understanding the roots of capoeira to keep its ancestral magic and identity of Mestre Pastinha alive.

Alô comunidade,

we are happy and excited to invite you to our first International Encontro of Mukânda Capoeira Angola from the 25th – 28th of July 2024, in the beautiful Isola di Capo Rizzuto, Calabria in Southern Italy, with the presence of our Mestre Cobra Mansa.

Also with us will be mukândeiros from the various groups in Italy and abroad, such as: Contramestre Medusa and Treinela Alice (Mukânda Italy), Contramestre Toca and Treinela Kathi (Mukânda Berlin), Contramestre Everson (Mukânda Montpellier), Treinel Do (Kilombo Tenonde), Treinel Ímã (Mukânda Florianópolis) and Mauricio (Mukânda Curitiba) among other guests.

The goal of our encounter is to preserve and pass on the fundamentals of Capoeira Angola, to disseminate and deepen the research of Mestre Cobra Mansa on the Bakongo Cosmogram and to strengthen and create new ties with the capoeira community in Europe and around the world.

LOCATION
Camping 2Mari in Isola di Capo Rizzuto, Calabria, in Southern Italy, surrounded by nature and within walking distance from a beautiful crystal clear sea and white sandy beach.

Included in the event package is the overnight fee for tents at the campsite. Tents are not included, and we ask each of the participants to bring the necessary sleeping gear, such as: a tent, sleeping pad and sleeping bag.

It will be possible to reserve lunches and dinners during the days of the activities (by paying an extra charge). Breakfasts are not included. The camping site has a bar and cafeteria.

The package includes: participation in all classes included in the event schedule, place in tent from Thursday to Saturday / maximum 3 nights (tent NOT included), car place, dog place and electricity. Anything not mentioned is not included.
